Clarksville Auto Supply was founded in 1974 when Jim and Susan Nutter moved from West Virginia to Clarksville, Virginia to open their own NAPA Auto Parts store. In 1985, they built a new building which is our current Clarksville location today. They built their business by offering exceptional customer service to their community. Jim and Susan's sons Mark and Drew worked in the business during their teenage years and both came back to work in the family business after college. The Nutters expanded the business by offering heavy-duty parts, which increased their customer base and sales.
When Jim and Susan retired, Mark and Drew took over ownership and continued to grow their family business. Drew's sons Tyler and Scott soon joined the business full time. In 2017, Clarksville Auto Supply purchased its second NAPA location in South Boston, VA. Clarksville Auto Supply has won the NAPA Five Star award 7 times. This award recognizes the company and owners as an elite member of NAPA Auto Parts with achievements in key performance areas of success and a commitment to customer service excellence. The company has completed the retail area impact remodel at the Clarksville and South Boston locations and the hub store inventory upgrade program at the South Boston location. In 2024, Clarksville Auto Supply celebrated its 50th anniversary.
In 2025, Clarksville Auto Supply expanded with the acquisition of 7 additional NAPA stores. With 9 convenient locations and over 100 team members, the Clarksville Auto Supply team wants to earn your business and be your trusted provider of parts and solutions.
